Two tracks, both closed
Fraser Downs was the track at Elements Casino Surrey. Live racing there ended on August 15, 2025, when the City of Surrey ended the racetrack lease. The track was torn up the following month, in September 2025. The casino still operates, with 10 live table games and over 500 slots and e-tables.
Great Canadian ended live thoroughbred racing at Hastings on December 5, 2025. The casino part of Hastings is a separate matter: a definitive agreement to sell it to the Tsleil-Waututh Nation was signed on November 7, 2025. That sale had not closed as of mid-2026.
